Dave Eason 0
Hi Just wondering if anyone can help, if a jill is mated and gives birth to the kits, then kills the kits within the first few day, then comes back into season after a few weeks does she need to be mated again as I know they should be mated each year (either with a vasectomised hob or not) to avoid oestrogen-induced anaemia. Dave i have never had a problem if a jills been brought out of season once in any breeding year .. some will argue the jill needs bringing out again .... i never ran a vasectomised hob more than once a year with any jill & had no problems at all in doing so Quote Link to post
The one 8,558
The last couple of years my jills have came in three and four times a year and while waiting there turn with the snipped hob they stayed in season nothing happened to them but they looked rough Quote Link to post
fensaluki 35
I would suggest that you would be better off getting her lined again or run past a vasectimised hob again mate.Would probably be ok latter on in the season but if she has returned now she could be hanging around a long time yet mate which is when your trouble could start. ferretertom 7
Dont leave her in season no matter if its her 1st 2nd or 3rd can still get infections if left. There are jabs also to get them out of season not just by a hob. Quote Link to post
