There appears to be a lot of adults around our way this year,just hope the spawning season was equally as kind this year .These pics are of some i found whilst hand digging a garden ,25 in total,amonst the weeds i removed .All removed to a safer spot in a wood .

Seeing loads at night as well, unfortunately on the roads.

I love toads ... i have only seen one up here this year..last year there were 100's ... i assumed the bad winter had put pay to this years breeding .. good to see theres plenty in your area though :thumbs:

It hasnt been a good years spawning for the toad, as you know, it has been so dry. Many watery holes have dried up and disappeared, such a shame lovely creature.

 

Was talking to a ranger on the dunes at ainsdale where many rare toads spawn every year, he seemed quite concerned for this years toad..
