wardy.s.s. 3
My mate bred a litter of pups last year and we went to the vets to get his two dogs and my bitch dewclawed, one has come back through on my bitch and is growing upwards instead of downwards and one has come back on one of his dogs and is spyriling outwards like a helta skelta. I had mine back to the vets late last year for another problem and while i was there i said her dewclaw is coming back thru and i dont want it catching on anything and ripping it out, he said to me 'I dont think it will catch on anything so we will just leave it' sure enough about a month later i realised that she had ripped it off, thankfully no skin came with it and no blood but now it has grown back again, so im thinking of taking her back and demanding it gets took out without having to pay as it hasent been done propley in the first place. What do you think they will say? atb Quote Link to post

Malt 379
2 my mined its best 2 leave well alone because they dont do alot of harm to ya dog and like this fellas jus said they grew back spiraling out words i dont bover removing if i buy i pup with out them then thats that but i dont worry about them I was like that until mine smashed his just as he was coming on nicely on the lamp.. He had his best haul of four a few nights before it happened & had stopped yapping. 5 weeks out of action at a crucial stage of his development right in the middle of the season, meant he missed out big time. No good trying to bring a frustrated young dog on with clued up late season coneys. I just hope I can pick up where we left off in the autumn... Quote Link to post
