hunter1995 92 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 well i am just goin in to 4th year and i got to make my final design for my standard grade and i thought of making a double bow back ferret box and i was just wondering 1.what are the sizes i need 2.how thick plywood do i need 3.how do you make the bow back 4.is there any special feature that i could add to my design 5.what do i need to buy for the strap ect .. thank you for all your help ATB RORY Quote Link to post
jenksi87 3 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Share Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) 1) sizes are personal preferance mate, depending wether its a double or triple box 2) you want to keep it nice and light so 6mm is plenty 3) cut the ply then soak it before attaching 4) keep it simple, as long as it does the job theres no need to be making it complicated 5) anything will do for the strap mate. a strap off a fishing tackle box, a car seat belt e.t.c hope this helps mate Edited April 27, 2010 by jenksi87 Quote Link to post

stubby 175 Posted April 28, 2010 Report Share Posted April 28, 2010 showing my age here, but if you use something like 3/8" ply on all of it, but use 1/8 ply for the bow back, it will bend easily without the need to cut lines in, or soaking Quote Link to post
