telly trouble,,,help please

Recommended Posts

Got this samsung telly, its a slim normal telly not lcd/plasma or anything.

Anyway, all of a sudden it doesnt power up, you turn it on, and nothing apart from the tiniest clicking sound inside!

Any ideas what to do, they had the power of up the road a few days ago, could it have happened on re-connection?

Appreciate your help.

Im sure they build em with a shelf life these days :censored: I pulled out the best part of a grand for what was described as all sing dancing, future proof TV, the feckin thing started with a hissing from a speaker the day the warranty was up :wallbash:

washing machine the same :icon_eek:

I hate it wehn you buy anything like that when they try to sell you an extra insurance usually for one third of the cost :clapper: I always give the same reply to em ' so what your saying is that it ain't really as well made as you spent the last hour telling me' I love to watch em back track out that one :clapper:

sorry cannot help with your problem mate, but the things are cheap enough second hand or in the supermarkets these days so its probaly cheaper to get another, not that you'll be missing much cos whats on em is usually shite anyways :boogie:

Power surges can cause exactly what you described.Power surges can be caused by turning the main off and on as in the power outage you mentioned , electrical storms can also cause power surges.I have all my sensitive electronics on surge suppressors to protect them. SGS
