IanB 0
Just received this from the BBC, for anyone interested, take a read.... Normally get a few every year relating to different documentaries, I'll start posting them more often... MONEY’ – a three-part documentary series for BBC2 For the attention of Hunting Life I hope you don't mind me writing to you out of the blue. I am researching a documentary series for BBC Television and am getting in touch to ask for your assistance. I wondered whether members of Hunting Life might be interested in talking to me. It would be great if you would put the below notice up on your website or mail out the info to your members. I am really keen to spread the net as wide as possible and speak to people from all walks of life so any help would be much appreciated. The idea behind the series is that with the recession and the furore over MPs’ expenses and bankers bonuses, we have all been forced to think about our feelings towards money and which value systems we privately subscribe to. The aim of this ambitious series is to explore our personal belief systems and attitudes towards money, and to paint a clear portrait of our spending habits in the 21st Century. It will explore how we feel about money and how we manages our finances. I am particularly interested in talking to people have substantial assets but a modest income. Let me reassure you that the team responsible for making the series has an impressive track record for producing high quality documentaries. I am at the intial stages of this project and am looking to have research chats with people who are interested in engaging in this debate, this would involve a chat in confidence over the phone. Thank you for your time. BBC Television is making a major new documentary series about attitudes to money and wants to speak to people about money! Do people make assumptions about the income that you are on? Have you made sacrifices to stay in the property you are in? Is your lifestyle more modest than your surroundings? No matter how you feel about your finances, we want to hear from you. We’d like to have an informal chat in confidence over the phone about your spending habits and relationship with money.
