Rolfe 2
Just completed the last (bigish) ferreting contract of the season......first time we had encountered any little un's this year as well........i think we managed an extra months ferreting this time. We did a once a year job around an old Manor House, stone wall banks, flower beds.......and even an old bonfire produced a bunny or two.......but the numbers were well down on last year....we must be doing too good a job. Just a few pictures of the dog watching the nets.........and the added bonus of some wonderful Hazel and Ash sticks cut on site these will make long net pegs, purse net pegs, setting sticks, stakes for Fenns, and even cut some nice walking stick shanks as well. Rolfe 2
Some nice strights on that stump Rolfe, I coppiced two stumps last year so I can cut the straights this year Yes i am really lucky in as much as i have plenty of hazel coppices at my disposal with a bountiful supply of straight hazel from tealers to walking stick shanks. It does make life that bit easier i suppose. Rolfe. Quote Link to post
