different locators

Recommended Posts

Right been using the mk3 for a while now and I'm looking for a new type of locator that has more in common with the terrier finders. I.E. has direction and depth displayed on a screen but also with the three antanae that aids local triangulation (basically the fecker tells me exactly where my fezzers are  ) I thought I may find them in American stores as ferrets are kept more as pets over there and they have a mind boggling array of stuff to keep them and their owners happy including locators but I couldn't find any

Does anyone know of such a holy grail device?????

Please post if you do

Cheers

No, there are really no other ferret locators.

What's the issue that you are having?. I have never had any problems just digging with the mk3, but there is a bit of skill to it, and to be honest I've become a bit of a dab hand.

You need practice and common sence, but you can always work out where a ferret is with just a mk3 (I do it by sound alone).

If you ever come down my way, I'll take you out and show you the secrets behind using it.

Its easier to just follow the pitch of the mk3 I reckon. The directional arrows might be good if it went for a good distance but when your practically stood above the ferret in most buries then there'd be no point.
