i would call the 9" terriers small and at 12"-13" normal sized but i'm no expert on patts(or much else for that matter )

 

they all have their uses if they have the heart for the job bud

they are mostly around six-seven months as high as they will get,then they "fill out" a bit.

mine's about 9tts and she 4 year old thick set dog thoo wide chest like

seen some very some very small patts, 8-9 tts.

Had one who was 17 tts, spannable but leggy as f**k.(bull somewhere)

 

Be fair to say 12-15 tts is average.

"why is 12 small"?, 14/15 is average size so less than that is small and bigger than that is big. im not saying there's anything wrong with 12 inch terriers
