pike fishing yesterday

went out fishing yesterday morning. it was freezing half of the lake had froze so we fished the opposite end than usual. after 10 minutes in the water my mate got a run, 9lber. he hadnt put it back into the water a minute until my rod went, 4.5lb. sat the rest of the day without anymore action. still, a few jacks or better than nothing. going to leave it for a few weeks until the temp rises a bit, hopefully the big fish will be on the feed next time. heres a few pics.

Nice looking water, that last Pike has lovely markings, few mates were on Muckno yesterday, not a single run between them, that lake looks to be deep in places?? Have you plummed the depts??

yeah it has deep holes in it mate in around 10ft normally with a medium cast of a float in places. there was 2 holes yesterday were that pic was taken and it was around 22ft deep. that lake holds some decent pike, biggest this season so far 29.5 lbs.

yeah mate i passed a few lakes yesterday morn that were totally froze over. i couldnt believe it when i seen that this one was fishable.
