ulverston moocher 60
Well I got my new bsa r10 on thursday afternoon by the time I got home from the gun shop it was dark so I put the scopes on the gun and the silencer and sling ready for zeroing the next day. I had to wait till afternoon as I was taking my kids to the zoo, quick blast around the zoo making sure I had a an hour of light to go and set the sights I was chomping at the bit like a kid on christmas eve finaly got home hooked the rifle upto divers bottle then it happened filled gun let the bleed off and the gun emptied its self talk about pissed off this was at 4.05pm rang the gun shop he said he would get bsa to pick it next week and it could take upto a month to get back so I asked if he had one in that I could exchange it with he said he only had 177 well I only got the r10 in 22 for a change as I have been shooting 177 for the last 14 years I have a 22 raider but it doesnt see light of day realy so I told him this wasnt a problem he said well I close at 5.00pm so it would have to wait till saturday bollocks to that I walked through the door at 4.59 as he was just walking towards the door got my new r10 in 177 had him fill it for me in the shop to see that it was right and now I am off to set the sights in about half an hour alls well that ends well and maybe it was fate I am just not meant to be a 22 man Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Sounds like fate UM . to be Honest I have been considering selling this gun in Favour of a R10 in .177, this gun now weighs over 10LB scoped and a killer to shoot freehand expecialy when squirrel shooting at diferent angles, the R10 would pretty much be perfect for me weight wise plus it does plenty of shots per charge.... Let me know what you think to it pal cheers Jasper Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Thats a bit unlucky pal Maybe it was a God send pal. Im sure you will get on well with the .177 version just fine. Please let me know how it goes. Si Quote Link to post
ulverston moocher 60
Been out today lads with her and she shoots great would recomend one to anybody I was abit wobbley at first as she is a bit lighter than my outher guns but I was able to put pellet on pellet at 30yds no probs I will take her out and try her at some longer ranges but my small holding is only 30yds long so that was my limit today and I am impressed at how quiet the gun is with the sak silencer on I knew when I started taking shots with her I had made the right choice with the r10 and I am quite happy I am still shooting 177.
