jamie g 17
just like to tell you lads that if any of you live in the midlands and need some work doing then richard pope is your man. i just picked up a bargain the other week for my dad a tikka m595 in 222. lovely action and stock looks like new ! for the small sum of 325 pound posted to my rfd. anway it wasnt threaded so popped over to mr popes yesterday and dropped it off. for barrel cut and screwcut and recrown. ive had richard fit a jewell trigger before and no how good his skills are on the tools. other people i no had stuff done buy him and alot of people round the uk travel to get stuff done. as they trust his workmanship and his prices are very good.. really looking forward to getting the scope and mod on the 222 now and with jontys help off here some 40 grain vmax. it will make a lovely truck rifle due to it being compact. and im very impressed with the smooth action of the old m seires tikka's here is a pic of the rifle. can have this on my ticket to for foxing. so it frees up my 22/250 to go so i can get a 243. got the money to buy one but just cant let the 22/250 go. i no the 243 does that and more. but i have grown to really like the mod 70 winchester seen a cooper arms 243 today and it was a beauty anyone on here got a cooper ? if anyone on here is after a cracking 22/250 winchester which sits in the h&s stock, screwcut, jewell trigger, fired 400 rounds max and great accuracy foxing tool pm me. im sure micheal40 and jonty off here can tell you hoe good it is. the rifle will come with rcbs comp seating micro metre die and full lenght die. and rcbs neck die. the dies are worth over 130 pound new. danebrewer10 6
another I'd highly recommend in Hampshire is BE Chaplins in Winchester, they don't half do some good work, I had a new pin made for my S/S and they did a brilliant job, much better than the original person who fitted it.... they do more traditional work but they do build shotguns so it shows you that they know their stuff!
