1000202sp5.jpghere is a buck i shot this morning on the open hill, stalking down a big burn that runs the full length of the glen, i spied him over the other side of the glen some500,600yds away feeding down a fence line, the only way to get to him was crossing the burn it was in spate, getting wet up to my arm pits crossed it.i stalked up to where the buck had been feeding, my first glance with my binos i saw nothing, thinking he had heared me and legged it, the wind was in my favor so i knew he hadnt go my wind, as if by magic there he was some 180yds from me feeding on a bush, so i set up my stix and waited to get a shot he came walking towards me and stopped at 140yds looking straight at me thinking 5 seconds mate and i am off, so i shot him in the base of the neck he went down straight away, it took me two hours to get him back to the quad bike , i was piss wet threw to the skin both boots full of water and sweating like a bulls arse but i had a grin on my face from ear to ear, arriving back home cleaned him up put him in the larder and fryed his liver up with some onions, a perfect finish to a great mornings stalk... remmy :D:D
