Tom1 7 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Share Posted February 4, 2010 OK I just got my frist lurcher he is 1/2Greyhound 1/4Bedlington 1/8Collie 1/8Bull This is him hes called JUD... What i want to know is when hes playing about and i call him he dosent even take a look s this normal hes only 13 week? What age do i start running him at ? watchman 256 Posted February 5, 2010 Report Share Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) 1)i would expect a dog of this age to know his name and come when called 2)i would be expecting to run it around 14months old,depends on the dog,only ever had bitches(maybe a bit befor)plenty time befor you need to worry about running it 3)take him out with a dog that does the job,or walk him up on some easy sitters,you got plenty time to read up and take advice until the time is right to start working your dog, be patient,let it be a pup for a long time yet and for the two posts above,why answer a question with a question,just asking,it sais just got my first lurcher Edited February 5, 2010 by watchman Quote Link to post
