Tics and fleas

Hi,gave my ferrets there routine check over yesterday and found 2 tics on them!I've noticed this morning they're all scratching a lot aswell,in the past i've used stuff that you get from pet shops which is ok.I'm looking for a more long term solution,i use frontline for my dog is there frontline or any product of that quality for ferrets,grateful for any imformation...John

i use frontline spray, i spray it on a pair of surgical gloves then massage it into the ferret, works a treat, regards john

I could be wrong about this but you must make sure it is the frontline for cats that you use, but as I said not to sure, cheers

I could be wrong about this but you must make sure it is the frontline for cats that you use, but as I said not to sure, cheers

 

sorry forgot to mention for cats as the 1 for dogs is too strong, cheers william

Thanks for the replies all,went to the vets wanted £19 consultation fee and a further £18 for the treatment :icon_eek: My mate then told me about a little farm shop that charged me £8 for enough frontline to treat 3 ferrets twice :thumbs: ...John

Use the frontline spray not the spot on... the sprays ok to use on ferrets but the spot on is to concentrated ... you will have to get the spray from the vets ... if its been prescribed for a dog of yours get a repeat from the vets

yes use the spray saves a load of money in the long run as it reats ticks & fleas on the dogs & the ferrets .. just do the glove on the coat thing that someone already said :thumbs:
