Recommended Posts

this mornin myself and mushray went for a stroll to see if we could find a fox for his russell bitch .First place we checked was a 3 hole earth in a cover that was stink of fox but nothin at home .We then checked what i thought to be a 2 holer about 20 yards away from the first set of holes.Bitch entered and was on straight away sounding away ,i thought lovely stuff only to hear the fox bolt from a hole and off he went down through the cover and across a big field but my lurcher was at the top with me so he didnt get much of a run :wallbash: .That was the end of that .Slip then rang me tonight said we could lamp on his girlfriends relations farm which is suppossidly a haven for foxes but no one is usually left hunt on the land .Guess what ...............it turned out to be alive with them .We met about 10 in the space of an hour .We called one into within 20 yards of us and the dogs were mads a show of ,three turns they got out of the fox and everytime they made a strike the fox jinked and eventually made the cover :wallbash: .Slip then called another even closer and the dogs made such a drive to kill it that they over shot it and got a few turns on it ,i could see my lurcher snapping at his tail he was that close ,how he didnt kill him is behond me .Well after that i knew it just wasnt my day so we finished off and went home 2 very down hearted lads
