cassshantia 16 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 hi all , having still not set my sights up to my spec on my .17hmr (bloody weather)ive shot thru it to get them there abouts but need finely tuning to zero ive had a few shells off and as people say its a dirty round i srtipped my mod down and it was filthy, do we clean them and if so what with ? my keeper friend strips his wildcat predator down on his 22250 with petrol is this a satisfactory solution or just a cheap way Quote Link to post
jamie g 17 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 i clean mine around 200 to 250 rounds. open it up with some paper towel under it as lots of crap comes out. then wipe off what you can with some paper towel. then blast it with wd40 let it soak then wipe it off. get alittle brush in the holes and hard to reach places. watch using some cleaning stuff as the o rings will damage. coke will clean it well to believe it or not. you leave it in a bowl of coke and it gets all the stuff off. when you pop sleve back on the mod light bit of greese on the tube. then next time it will come off more easy Quote Link to post
