electric rabbit barrier

Recommended Posts

I was over at Thrapston this morning,we were going to set some rabbit traps around a large disused quarry,it was a bit dodgy there ,so we left it for another day, while we were there we drove around the stewardship, all around ,where the snow had blown away ,you could see two wires six and eight inchs off the ground, staked at six yard intervals, connected to a battery, this system extended over hundreds of yards ,and the farmer told us it worked very well ,and he had no damage to speak of,even though there was a lot rabbits there, its similar to the system used around pheasant pens only on a much larger scale.this is the first time i have seen it,is it used in many other places?

haven't seen this sort but seen the orange sqaure mesh used for whole fields the only this is they need to be maintained well cause if something falls or get blown on to the wire it will short out and wont work.
