tillylamp 1,971 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Share Posted January 7, 2010 hi all, my mate has given up shooting now,so he gave me his o/u shotgun,so i thought i would try it out but it doesnt fit me,whats the best way to get it to fit me as i really want to get to use it? do i go to a gun shop,or are there products on the market to add to the gun? it feels to short from the butt end to the trigger,also i have to really bend my neck to look straight up the barrel, any advice would really help me. thanks tillylamp. Ah well it suits me and it feels comfortable. I am not saying dont get it fitted to you at a gunsmiths, this is my story and it worked for me. Quote Link to post

waidmann 105 Posted January 8, 2010 Report Share Posted January 8, 2010 you will find that a young man will fit the gun(not sure how old you are or how bad the fit). your finger should be on the trigger when the butt is in your elbow if that makes sense?? i have found that most guns are ok for me( average build around six feet tall)and in fact on feather that a shorter stock is better. have you tried the gun on clay? i would give it a go first if not. gun fitting can be expensive and as said above you may be better off part ex for a better fitting gun. cheers Quote Link to post
