The Caretaker 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Report Share Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) Well the first thing was, it was nowhere near as cold as i thought it was going to be went to the same area i have been to for the last few trips of 09. but as i drove in there was 2 other guy's one with a MK2 rapid and the other with an AA of some sort! oh well if the GK wants to let others on it's his perogative, anyway i got to the area and saw a fair few bit on the drive up to it so i was reasonably encouraged. Wasn't in too long before i saw a pigeon the daft bugger actually looked at me and then looked away :roll: daft sod! one in the box so i carried on through and not seeing too much a lot going over but nothing dropping in, i went back to the cattle shed area and parked where i normally do and just as i was getting out i saw some very distinctive grey bushyness so from a fairy good distance i rested on the spare wheel and tWack and as he fell, another appeared so i got a bead on him and took the shot and as the first one fell it took my eyes away from the second but you could see it thrashing around as they sometimes do, so because it was over a barbed wire fence i had to go round, but on getting there i could only find the first one and unfortunately the leaves in that wood are about 5 inches deep so all i can think is it must have gone under a pile anyway i never found him So i won't claim him! I then walked up and then back down that stretch of wood not too much about and they had been clearing so the wood that used to be quite dense is now quite open, so i got back to the cow sheds and had a bit of a rest (i'm quite old remember) any way there were 3 crows sitting in a large tree and as the were quite well hidden they also couldn't see me i had a chance at one of them and Took it! feathers all over the place and it dropped like a stone but when i got round the corner it had fallen into an area that shall be known hence forth as (Worcesters Amazon jungle) B0ll0x!!! :evil: so i left it! Now it was a very different story when i had me 80ftlbs Ranger!!!! out to 100yards but only on rare occasions. and as for the trajectory .22 as flat as a pancake Quote Link to post
