black lab 3
Had made arrangements to meet up with a mate of mine, and because of work commitments he cannot get out shooting that often, he arrived at my house at 7.30am and by 7.40am we were on the estate, i had noticed a few days earlier some Roe Does out in one of the plantations, when we scaned the area we could only see one Roe Doe, my mate stalked up to approx 100yards from it and took a nice clean shot with a safe back stop, wish i had the camcorder with me would have looked very good, done the business, just then over in one of the valleys i noticed the owner of the estate and his followers out for a days shooting, so gave him a call and moved on to another area, he apoligised for not letting me know they were out for a days shooting[chickens] sorry pheasants. LOL. when we arrived at another plantation on the other side of estate it started to snow so we headed for some high ground to have a look about, i spotted two Roe's i let my mate stalk up to them and he took out a nice Roe Doe the other one was a very big Buck still in hard antler, the Doe was approx 70yards when it was shot, after the shot i noticed Charlie sneaken away from where my mate had gone to retreive his prize, was going to shoot him but it was as if he knew i was watchen him and stayed on sky line with no safe back stop maybe get him tomorrow? the picture is where the first Roe was shot.
