Hi all,

I live in bedfordshire and have been interested in hunting and gathering wild foods from an early age. I used to go (air gun) shooting with my father at a young age and recently found one of my old pistols. This re-ignited my interest and I now intend to apply for a gun licence. I am unsure of whether to apply for a shotgun licence or a firearms licence (for rifle shooting) My main aim is to take up deerstalking/hunting however I also enjoy hunting rabbits and waterfowl.

I dont hunt for sport I only hunt creatures with the intention of eating them, however I dont have a problem with any sporting hunters.

I have recently got a puppy (7 months) He is an american bulldog and I would very much like to train him up to be a working gundog.

I look forward to speaking with members of this forum and am sure that I will be able to learn alot from the more experienced huntsmen.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and HAPPY HUNTING.
