articfoxhunter 0
Hey, I want to put together a 6ppc and I am stuk between Sako and Remington action to use for the task. The rifle is to be used for foxcontrol and targertshooting so I´m going to use a hevy barrel from Shilen or Krieger. Can I use standard 222 or 223 for this if I open up the boltface. thanks Articfoxhunter Quote Link to post

SNAP SHOT 194
i'm not sure about the bolt face issue to be honest... but regards the two actions, When i rebuilt the rifle, the smiths said that nearly all remmington actions will need blueprinting, the older model tikkas and the sako actions where nearly all fairly true and if for a general hunting gun targets etc , unless your serious about competition shooting, will not need trued at all... that said the remmington is a strong action, just depends on your budget.... i know SYSS take in all actions and ture them up... Worth giving them a call, the price may surprise you and you'd be better of selling your own rifle... Snap. Quote Link to post
