At one point, many years ago, I started dabbling with a spot of sea fishing again. I'm afraid it was so long ago that I can't honestly remember the details now. But I a, pretty sure I discovered my ferrets would polish off some fish with relish, yet they'd turn their noses up at others. Heh; Bit like me! :D

I'd imagine it would have come down to being between Whiting or Pollack. That's what I caught. I can't see any flatties ever having been involved. Certainly never caught any mackeral. And when I got a small bass? No way on this earth were those f***ing stinkers getting any of That! :icon_eek:

Regards freshwater fish: I once saw a photo of a " wild polecat " (set up shot of a ferret then  ) feeding off a well dead Bream.

Oh, and Mink are mustalidae too. Sadly, fish bones don't choke those b*stards to death either.

You can feed your stinkers on fresh whole fish (whole as in scales, heads, fins guts and all) just the same as your dogs and/or cats.

Doesn't do them any harm and they seem to like it more often than not ;) I pick up the cheap mackerel and sardines etc at the fish counter, usually 25p to 30p each. One fish does two ferrets, sorted :good:
