Loading A Rabbit Snare

Hello, could anyone offer some advice or links on loading / tensioning rabbit snares.

 

I have read the G.S Waters articles pinned but i am still not 100% sure, it just seems to take me so long to do one.

 

I am sure there are a few methods that people use and i would be very greatfull if you can help me out

Do it the GSW way and practice ,if you can do one ,you can only get quicker and better

Micky, i may of got there but i was not sure it was done correctly, i was left a lift confussed with the technique.

which bit are you stuck with?

 

must admit I have downloaded a copy of glenn waters article on hunting life and found it to be very effective combined with completely giving up on the eight wire snares with green/brown string on them that seem to be sold everywhere ..... next to the guns they would rather you bought! and moving to the six wire ones complete with tealer and peg that i get from ian hodge. I have never managed to get the eight wires to do anything apart from misses.

 

seems to me with tensioning is to get the noose springy by manipulating forward and backward till it forms a springy loop rather than the lacklustre thing it is when you first buy them it takes a bit of practice this, I stop when the noose returns to its former size when you let it go. though i have resorted on frustrated occasions to the kink

g s waters here, there is a friend of mine showing how to tension a rannit snare, on you tube, he is called danny sumpter, also ian b who runs this site he also shows it done, hope this helps you.
