longdog13 36
Hi guys and gals, I finally got out on some permission I acquire last week and got rained off last weekend. Weather this morning was diabolical but i waited out and had faith in the met office Well, we finally arrived at 11am, not as early as i'd of liked but the weather was on the up and up from then As this was a new spot i thought i'd try all the burys possible, Starting with a very unlikely looking bury on a small bank. Three nets set in quick time and more or less within seconds we had number 1 in the net, followed 3 mins later buy number two Bury empty. Moving on to a very similar set 20 ft away. six holes this time, ferret in and number three in the net. Moved along to a small three holer and had another 1. Now on to the big set, 40plus holes on a bank at the end of the golf course. This was a well used bank with some impressive holes After netting up we had a well earned drink. We were using my three year old gill and her daughter today, and the action was steady, rabbits bolting in ones and twos, luckily, the two rabbits that kicked off their nets were back netted further down the bank . after three hours out we ended the day on a total of 14. really happy with that. the ferrets were on great form today . While we were there today we found a monster warren , it was truely immense, it'll take some doing so i'll be down there next weekend to clear the old wooden nettle stalks, then hopefully the following weekend i can muster the troops and hit the rabbit Mecca And the EOD shot for you Quote Link to post

Pigeon Controller 1
Well done on a new permission, have you more large sets of holes? they can be hard work running up and down banks with the mud. Good work Pigeon Controller Quote Link to post

Good work Pigeon Controller That last 60 odd hole bank is the largest bank i work. It was tough going, but with only two ferrets in and working right to left with the wind, it was a nice steady flow of bolters Quote Link to post
