my lucher tail got a cut and it infeckted and the vet whnts to take 6 inc off will it fuk its lamping and balens .anser plz

lots of grehounds have them cut if there tail wagers,keep hitting kennel wall,

still run well but not as good,

No, I had a whippet greyhound that snapped her tail. It was like a broken stick

The vet had to amputate all but about 4 inches, like a dobermans dock

Apart from looking stupid it had no affect on her catching at all.

i've got a lurcher here with a docked tail,from 18 mth old he's now 7 yr old never been a problem too him.

Had a dog a few years back suffered from tail whip, always splitting and getting infected. Vet ended up docking and she was as right as rain after and made no difference to her performance wise.
