Brimmer 220
Been out today with the old chap. He's far from being his usual self, but waiting around for the docs to check out his x-ray, is getting him down a bit. Only one thing to take his mind of it, get out and do a bit. Went mob handed again, the three runners, 5 ferrets and hondapants. All went to plan, even later in the day it dried up! Only downside was chasing two of the big poley hobs around. They are really swift, they do their job without fault under the ground, but as soon as the warren is empty, they think they should be running with the dogs and are a pain to catch up, chasing poleys around is no fun! (the albino's were a treat to use as usual, matching the poleys underground, but easier to handle on top.) We managed all day out, coming off the land around 4.30pm in the dark on the quad. The dogs which were trotting alongside shot off all of a sudden, and a minute later brought a rabbit back. Seen it all now! All of us worn out ended up with one of the better bags we have had for a few years of 68. Good day out, see what tommorrow brings! Edited December 6, 2009 by Brimmer Quote Link to post

Going to try and get back to work tomorrow if they will let me but they are a bit fussy on back injurys. Had my mate out aswell with the rimfire but the sights were out and there wasn't a rabbit to be seen anywhere, they will have to wait to be lamped one night, needed to get out thougj, been sat in for 4 days and I didn't fancy feeding the ferrets cat food if i could help it.
