dogs improving,owners not!

After a lousy first season last year my bitch seems to have got her eye in at last,catching three rabbits out of four runs in half an hour last night. The only thing is i am so used to not catching anything i had nothing to carry them in. I saw an easy bunny out in the field sitting so i put the three we had down in the grass while we walked up to it, that was the one she missed.

I spent the next hour looking for my precious rabbits in the pouring rain but could not find them,when i got home i felt like the fisherman telling of the one that got away.

i wont make that mistake again.

Its amazing how they can just disapear right under your nose though, Jazz would never retrieve, wasnt a problem aslong as she stayed next to the rabbit, but occasionally she would walk back to me, and could i hell find the rabbit she had killed

This seems to be the year for alot of peoples dogs getting it together in their second and third seasons

I was out the other night walking my bitch i put the slip lead down while i took a rabbit off her and ended up having to come back at first light to find it :11: My excuse was the grass was long :whistle: :11:
