ol26 2
can anyone give me any advice on lurcher training? ive got a 14 month old saluki X whippet so is coming on well - shes a cracking ferreting dog have has mopped up a number of escapies and bolters from missed holes.. however im having trouble with her commitment lamping. she is more than quick enough as you can imagine! but seems to go in a bit half hearted every now and again and not actually catch them in the dark. having said that she absolutly nailed one last night but it was pretty close when i slipped her. she did have a bit of a collision with a fence a few weeks ago in the dark while chasing.. do you think this might have knocked her confidence? any advice would be great as its frustraiting to watch the bunnies get away! what a good distance to slip a young dog? based on last night. mabe ive been doing it a bit early.. any advice would be great cheers Oli Quote Link to post

wild rover 548
If you have done all the basic training just transfer it to the lamp, it does work and it pays off. Quote Link to post
