theferreter 311
yes i agree with stealthy you can always assume theres rabbits home cause there shite outside you just have 2 put them down and hope for the best an if your ferrets are rescue ferrets they might not even of seen a rabbit let alone no what 2 do with it or they cud just be 2 wankers an thats why there in the shelter in the first place all the best with them anyway hope they work out for u Quote Link to post
whin 463
you get alot of warrens just for playing ducking down when chased or when the young get kikcked out they live in them , best way is to get some body to bring along a decent dog and ferret and try the holes ,there areas localy were some hold rabbs others wont ,the best holes are usaly the most awkward to get into lol under cover away from the normal run of the mill holes ,or warrens ,expeirence comes into mind and trail and error Quote Link to post
Edgar 1
"I'm pleased with them having kept going for 3 and a half hours on only their second trip out but they were proper knackered at the end of it!" Watch because if they are tired lay ups are more likely. Well done 1 is better than no rabbits at all. Quote Link to post

Don't worry they'll get used to it in time...ALL my ferrets are rescues...I've had pets, show ferrets the lot and they all work eventually...it's just a matter of time and patience...good luck Quote Link to post

RaiderBoy 19
Dont give it up mate just because your getting small numbers, you should try travelling lighter so you can cover more warrens as only 1 in every 6 warrens that we ferreted contained a rabbit and rescued ferrets work as well as any. the small white jill in the first picture is a rspca recue and she turned out to be the best on the day.
