hi all,

i was wondering, when is the best time of the day to go ratting,or does it not really matter,

also, whats the best way of making a smoke machine?(cheaply)ha ha.

the reason for this is,my local farmer has a rat invasion, and asked if i could get rid of them,

there`s loads of rats every where,i took a peep through the grain store door, and they were

running every where, this may be hard to believe but,the sides of the barn are corrigated tin,

and they are 8ft tall, and where they over lap,a rat climbed up it in front of my very eyes,up

onto the frame work of the roof,

and then i walked around the back of the barn and saw a sheet of ply, when i lifted it,about

7 to 8 rats run out,my terrier got one, there were some big rat holes(hence making a smoker)

This may seem a silly question to some, but is my terrier safe running over the big pile of grain,

when i walked up it,i just sunk to my knees,is my dog going to sink.baring in mind the grain pile

is 5m high x 40m long, you will have to forgive me if you think im being silly, but i just dont

know.

any help and advice will be appriciated,

tillylamp.

Where abouts are you mate ive got a smoker you can lend

"Where abouts are you mate... I've got terriers who'd go nuts for a day at a place like that" ;) Shame you're in Kent! A cut down petrol strimmer or chainsaw is a good smoker if you weld a bit of metal pipe onto the exhaust and then jubilee clip some car radiator hose onto it.
