Dave C 63
I was out early a few weeks ago, only the second time we have shot at this farm and the the cover is unbelievably thick, its all real deep Holy and thorn hedges and big wood piles, last time we only had the Cocker cross but as good as she is, she just dosnt have the spirit to charge through the thick stuff. So i was asked to take Ted my Terrier, now he is a bushing machine and the thicker the better but he dose have a tendency to get away from me on open land, which isnt a problem when bushing with the Lurchers, but obously frustrating when shooting. So we were now looking for Pheasants, but there is also allot of Foxes and other vermin in them wood piles so you never know. There was a Fox sun bathing hear but we just couldn't get close enough Ted dispatching a Rook for us Ted deep inside the wood pile and Fudge searching for a way in The mole catcher had a good morning as well End of day I think the all the Pheasants had taken a battering from the storm the night before, typically we had been tripping over them all summer. But never mind there was enough sport, but not as tasty. Dave. Quote Link to post
dave1372 83
Nice photos, looks like there are some nice places to build hides and ambushing some foxes. Good luck. Quote Link to post
