Guest DogFaceKillah
Ok alot of bull x owners, and lurcher men in general have very stong views on dogs with heart ect ect, what do you class as a dog with heart? does a dog with a brain mean it lacks drive? for example a dog which will only grabs it quarry when it knows it cannot be damaged? does a dog with full on braun an will tak punishment mean it has no brain? if i was going into a punch up i would defo try an aviod a good beating if possible, is it the same with dogs, is there dogs out there wit both braun an brain, i like a dog with a brain but also love he brutality of a good dog that doesnt care, and i have lots of respect of dogs like this, i own dogs with both trates just want to know some of your opinions Quote Link to post
craigyboy 1,274
i think its got feck all to do with the specific breed dfk,its just that it looks like some bullxs are brainless ive seen some brainless saluki xs in my time, ive owned a couple of bullxs and they were far from brainless Edited November 4, 2009 by craigyboy Quote Link to post

In most cases the main thing restricting a dog reaching its full potential is the mind of its owner. if the owner of a dog is a shy quiet person is the dog likely to be the same or if the owner is a headcase then the dog will be nuts aswell is that what you are saying Quote Link to post
lilpip1234 62
i believe it has more to do with the actual dog than its breeding, but when talking of a dog with both brains and braun the first cross that springs to mind is a collie greyhound Quote Link to post

merle24 61
Mike tyson = Brawn Muhamid Ali = Brain Both were champs at there game, although i oftern wonder who would have come out ontop against one another ? Its horses for courses i reckon, a dog with all brawn will more than likely have a shorter working life and more prone to injury. a dog with more brain would be my vote as they all have enough brawn in them to take the quarry we ask its just weather its unleashed in them, imo. mick328 0
my last dog was always game even at 13 before he had to be put down saluki/collie/deerhound/greyhound but he always used his brains cause he didn't like getting bit, he killed a lot of charlies over the years but never had many bite marks on him like some dogs have. don't think you can beat having both.
