driller killer 33
Hello, I have got myself a new air rifle recently, 1st one since i was a kid. Its a bit basic but its a start, a mk6 Airsporter. I am after a lamp for it to do a bit of rabbit hunting once i get my eye in again. I have been offered a similar lamp to this http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetai...ghtforceRMSM140 The question i have is will this be a bit of an over kill, would like a smaller one but been offered a good price on it. Any opinions if this lamp will be suitable at all would be greatly appretiated. Or if anyone knows where i would be able to get a more suitable one. Also i wouldnt mind getting a bipod, what should i be looking for with one of these? Cheers in advance Neil Quote Link to post

Is it also worth getting coloured filters for them? if you can? With the bipods are the fitting to your rifle universal? or do you get certain one to fit certain guns? Cheers again Neil Quote Link to post

Cheers again Neil It is still worth buying the lamp and reselling it for more.may even buy your other lamp, stay away from logun lamps as they are useless..red filters are usually the best for rabbits but amber works well too..as for bipods think your goint to struggle with an airsporter to fit one as the under cocking will be in the way..I wouldn`t use a barrel pod myself as i think the recoil wouldnt work to well with it..If it was a pcp then thats another matter its a lethal way of shooting rabbits..atb eddie heres mine with a pod .. cunninghamb 2
Your bipod appears to be on backwards mate! Could be a nasty mistake!... I was recently given a lamp, its un-named and needed wiring. I've soldered an old length of table lamp wire onto it, with the flicker switch still on, and put a male cigar lighter bit on so it will fit into my lamping set up. Job done must of cost me a fiver all in as I already had my battery and charger e.c.t... And as for a pod, its highly recommended that you DON'T use a bipod with springers as the recoil affects the accuracy signifcantly, I've got a PCP which a bipod can be used on as the are virtually recoiless. Hope you get your eye in soon and get out bunny bashing! All The Best Quote Link to post

Cheers again eddie, Its in having a service at the mo as was a bit under power, been doing a bit of reading and from what i can tell a bi pod is usually not suitable for a springer as you start getting the re coil before the pellet has left the barrel and that hitting the solidness of the pod can knock it off target, would a shooting stick be any better do you think? bit more give but something to rest on for accuracy. Will just keep an eye out for a descent lamp. Lovely looking rifle, what is it? Cheers again Neil Quote Link to post
