Well, as some of you may know, one of my ferrets, the albino jill, was down a bit and had a rash.

I took her to the vet and he treated her for ring worm :rolleyes:

Her skin has got a bit better since, i also treated her for ear mites with thornit, kindly donated by someone on this forum.

Well, the last couple of days she has got worse, loosing a lot of weaight and not feeling vey energetic.

She is till eating and comes out for a bit in her hutch, but she is in no way 100%.

The vet does not know bugger all and its not easy over here, worse then over their.

Im really frustrated and want to know what the feck is rong with her.

Any good vets out their?? :(

I will have to put her down if she does not pick up soon.

My other ferrets are champion and doing fine, so i dont think its contageouse?

Thanks for listening.

Good luck with the jill mate.I had one ferret who went like you said, but she was a old ferret not a young one.My ferret just stayed in the nest box eating a little food, but not much then she started to struggle to walk and had no weight on her at all,so in the end i put her down.I did take her to the vets but like yours they did not have a clue what was wrong.

Its called sods law frank nothing you can do about it,i once had a jill who i got when young really tame you could do anything with her, never once bit me,took her out rabbiting on her first trip first set of holes she bolted a couple, next set she bolted some always coming back when finished i had high hopes for her.Went to feed her the next day and she was in her nest box dead.Could not work it out why,so took it to the vets and he said it could have been heart murmmer.I was gutted.

Sad to say, had to put my albino jill down this evening  , she was suffering too much. :(

Dont know what the bloody hell it was that killed her, all i do know is that she was thin as a rake at the end.

O' well, move on.
