a squirrel or squirrels are eating my chicken food out of the chicken coup, im planning on shooting it with my air rifle next time i see it, is it right that if i hang it over the coup it will deter others or is this rubbish???

just set a few traps and try get rid of as many as possible atleat every time u dispatch one its one less to worry about

not knowing much about squirrels will there be a herd of them or just the one?

this time of year there could be a few, as the young ones have left the dreys by now, this time last year i took 14 squirrels out of some ones loft in a week 4 adults rest kits, so get as many as you can either traps or gun whichever is the safest option.

just like a common rat but in trees they are everywhere and if you see one there will be others esp where easy feed is readily available

Only if they are grey squirrels lads your best to use live traps if your in an area that has reds so that you can release these protected non target species

thanks for the replys, ill try my luck with the air rifle then try a trap if it dont work
