Tis TM 8 Posted October 18, 2009 Report Share Posted October 18, 2009 Thats a shame mate ! it happens to us all sometimes for one reason or another, a pal lost his proven Finn male this year due to 2 RAF Helicopters coming over low he hit the beam in the roof and it killed him, he recons the copters was that low you could see the bolts on the sides .... that bird could have carried on breeding for a good 10 more years and produced countless young, how can they put a price on a bird like that!! they would be talking in telephone numbers money wise.... (the horses were going nuts) ... and she was fully compensated You're right Tis! the lad I was talking about had one offer for the bird from the MOD which he has turned down! he provided them with breeding records, the age of the bird, the amount it cost him and also potentialy the figures money wise that bird could have made should it had lived another 10 years or more.... His first offer was pretty sparce when you consider whats mentioned above! hopefully the next one will be more genuine of the birds true value.... ATB Jasp Quote Link to post
