Its got nothing to do with the way its twisted, It weight, A 4z net is lighter than a 6z and a 10z is heavier than the them both Quote Link to post
Leeview 792
Z=10lbs breaking strain i.e 4Z =40lbs, 10Z=100lbs breaking strain Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
netrigger 590
http://www.dechanet.com/product.htm The above is all I could find at the moment,, The Z denotes the direction that the twines twisted. Regards.. Quote Link to post

bramble 0
Yes mate its amazing what you can learn by starting a thread, as for decent nets spun poly take some beating but i personally like the 10z nets aswell a tad heavier than spun poly and handle well. Rgds Steve Quote Link to post

netrigger 590
Have a look at this,, http://www.engel-netze.de/smart5/eng/twine...sted/index.html As far as iam aware a 3z net will have approx= 30lb breaking strength= 10lb per strand, a 4z=40lb If anyones into Gill Netting a 1.5 x 4ply multi-mono net will give approximately a 20lb breaking strength-5lb per strand Theres plenty of Manufactures out there who can and will pass on any information that is required regarding twines , I only Rigg Em !! ..
