Just out of interest has anybody successfully gained permission to shoot MOD land? or do you just get an automatic NO !!!

You are only allowed to use a shotgun on MOD land as far as i'm aware and as for getting permission i think its the old boys network and the military's own personal use

I have had a couple of jobs on MoD land, high security stuff as well.....it is certainly not shotgun only, the old boys network or military own personal use.

 

On the whole the military are scared stiff of doing any game/vermin control themselves and pass out just about all the work.

 

The chances of bowling up on the gate and asking to shoot their rabbit/fox/deer for "sport" is slim though!

I think its a case of WHO you know,.as opposed to WHAT you know.....

You have got that right mate. i live close to the SAS camp loads of rabbits round there, When i say loads i maen in the hundreds
