Another can of beer cracked, lovely

Up early and out with hounds. No mounted field today, all on foot. One good size cover to hold up, mostly reed and thick scruby willow.

Brace and a half in there but was too warm too soon and no scent what-so-ever to be found. Hounds boxed up early so off we went to a call out from a keeper had been losing partridge galour to our friend but certainly not his. Blanked on two earths but third held in another regular spot. Ten/twenty minutes later two foot down in easy soil and job was a "good en". Another good result from a good Russell.
