Did you just wait for the rabbit to start running or what? I'm just not sure about how I'm gonna start my pup! well done anyway. My pup won't run down the beam, she ignores it and starts hunting with her nose, so I picked a squatter out in the lamp, then kept the dog on the slip and the lamp on the rabbit while I walked towards it. When I got to about 10 ft away the rabbit bolted and I slipped the dog. With a few more squatters like this my pup will hopefully get the idea that she'll find rabbits if she follows the beam, then I can have a pop at non-squatting rabbits as the squatters are few and far between in the place I hunt.
