thinking about gettin a subaru forester, but not sure which i should go for, (engine size, transmission etc) any advise lads?.......cheers

Great motor!!

 

Until recently there was only the choice of two engines- both 2litre flat four petrols- one turbo, one NA.

 

The diesel is also a flat four- but its only been out a year at the most so is mucho cash!!

N/A manual would be best IMHO- the turbo is quick- but you do not need the extra cost of fuel,insurance. Not heard any horror stories on them- but everything can break

had two 2 ltrs and back shockers are crap they go very easaly and mucho pennies to replace ...unless you know some one in the trade who can get them cheep...

 

soon went back to the good old faithfull legacys with a bash plate and a good old set of nobblies

 

just my opinion and experiance
