MOD

I have been asked a few times now why I don't apply or whatever one has to do to become a moderator on here. To save me the hassle of answering the PM's one by one and to stop anyone else from wearing out the buttons on his / her key board. This is why not.

For starters, beware what you wish for. As most of you know, I am a Kraut so you could not mention the war without the fear of getting banned. :)

On a more serious note. It is one thing for me to help out if and when I feel like it and not to when I just can't be arsed. It is quite another if I would feel that I have to.

I don't take life and much less a forum serious enough to pull my hair out or loose any sleep over things that go on or I would have left this place along with Ditch Shitter when he did.

I like the banter and giving a helping hand to those that need one and where I can with my limited knowledge of UK hunting and technical stuff.

I even sort out the odd thing via PM behind the scenes if you want to put it that way. But I am not the right person for that kind of job, trust me on that one.

There are two ways I could take these requests.

1 Happy that some people have placed the trust in me to do the job

2 Never underestimate the stupidity of others for betting on the wrong horse

I'll go with number one. But its not what I want to do at this point and I think that SS is doing a grand job as it is and dont think that he would need any help from a nutter like me anyway.

So thanks but no thanks

Happy hunting

Michael

Michael

I've never heard of a Van described as 'behind the scenes' :D

Sorry Michael, you did leave yourself wide open for that one buddy :friends:

Phew I'm glad he aint a mod, I'd be banned for sure!

Seriously, I think that many (but not all eh SS? lick lick lick LOL) people who become Mod's tend to loose their sense of humor and let power go to their heads.

I think the mods on this forum do a darn good job actually they allow us to have a laugh without putting a dampner on things.

Phantom.

I know buddy but at least I can take it like a man.

Tw@t, I just got my fresh ground through my snotter

Exactly, :clapper: a good laugh taken as its meant.

Where else could we all have a scream like this without some git interfearing?

Thank you for the vote of confidence Michael and your helping hand if and when I need it when Moderating and Airguns come together it is appreciated

Phantom, I've tried my very best to completely lose my sense of humour and become a cantankerous old git, but so far I haven't been able to completely let the banter go, I guess I'm just a bad Mod :D I mean, you can't have a nice mod can you?
