making purse nets

Hi everyone

 

I was at lowther at the weekend and bought a load of gear for making some purse nets.

 

The problem is i was showed about 12yrs ago how to tie them and for the life of me i cant remember how ? :icon_redface:

 

does anyone have any step by step instruction to refresh my memory.

 

i tried google and there was one site but was differnt from how i was shown and not verry clear.

 

anyone ??

if duckwing off here feels in a good mood :D i am sure he will give you some tips , as when it comes to making nets he's got to be one of the best around !

cant make them either :11: i did try and bought one of those booklets that aurther c,s were selling but i couldnt follow it

would be nice if somebody had time to post a thread with step by step photographed account of how to do it

and had it pinned i might have a crack at it again :) .

Are you keeping your knot on top of the meshboard ??

Do your knot pull it tight then do it again only taking in only one strand of string coming down ,this is what i would call a double knot and even on 4z nylon this wont slip

Ive been doing my second knott round both stands coming down :icon_redface:

thats the one i was on about that bigbob posted. anyway, i think your tieing the knots under the previous row insted of on it if you get me :wacko: if not ill try and explain a little better. in this case though its easyer done than said B)

iv just finished two rows with no more slips :D
