Kay 3,709
Those cygnets are coming allong nicely kay. How many made it. atb bedrock There was 5 to start with , when i first got close enough to photograph them , then i didnt go to see them for about 3 weeks & there was only 2 left , but there huge now , nearly as tall as the mom & they are coming closer to me , the dads hanging back a bit now , he used to snatch bread out of my hands The mom comes out the water now & still spits at me but i just sit still & she seems ok with me being there , the cob is a mighty impressive bird , awsome to get within inches of the whole brood now , mabe they have got used to me , i really dont know I have been up again just & got a few photos of the cygnets & the adults & a few shitehawks for the action shots , well blurd shots would be a more accurate description, i will stick a few on this thread in a min when i have loaded them I will keep going untill the young are driven away from the lake & i also want to be around when i can tell the sexes of the cygnets & my next goal is to get one of the cob with his wings all streched out that little lot should keep me busy for the next few months at least

ghillies 209
tamron,sigma...or the cheapest route is some thing like the M42 mount adappter.. 20's abnd 30's up to 100 notes for some good lens's.. no auto or metering(metering meaning the camera sets the shutter speed to the apature etc, np though, take one look and adjust). only difference is you open the apature to its widest, focus (so you can see best) the close the iris to a depth of feild veiw you want. time and patience too, looking for a good price on a lens....
