curiing rabbit skin

Recommended Posts

if you dont want to buy stuff a cheaper method (after scraping) is soak in something high in tannin , hence the name tanning for a couple of days

such as strong tea,in the autumn you can use oak leaves which along with the bark has traditionally been used for centuries. Then use borax or salt if using salt use salt peter or allum mixed into a paste with a little water and bran flakes

When I use the skins for dummies I just use table salt, because its cheap :D

I was finding the skin went solid like a brick then after a while the hair still fell out using salt
