Kay 3,709
I received a phone call last week asking this question i pointed the chap in the direction of this forum to ask the question & see if anyone could help, cant vouch for the chap but someone may be interested in helping him with an article i think his credentials could be checked out fairly easily Hi, Kay I have been told that there has been a significant increase in the number of rats cleared from poultry farms by ferrets working in tandem with small terriers, usually Jack Russels. But am not have much luck in tracing any farms for a report that I am putting together for Poultry World. Do you know of any ferreters (if that is the right word) who operate a group of rat-hunting ferrets or poultry farmers that could help me by Friday morning (August 14)? Thanks for your time, Mike Parker Quote Link to post

smokin 0
i could see ferrets having their uses as bolters but just thought the smoker was the tool in use these days to work to terriers - it has the advantage of doping them a bit too. had the hob in the house last week as mr ratty was having a scoff behind my fridge - hes only 12 week old bless him but did the job admirably - trouble is im reluctant to let my ferts eat any rats at the moment i live near a skip waste transfer station we seem to be seeing a lot around in daylight outside think theyve poisoned again - lost one of the moggies back in march - eat poisoned rat and haemmoraged internally itself - not a nice thing to find. RIP Sidney cocker!!! - top cat sat here as i type waiting for scratching noises again - still cant work out how they are getting in despite loads of gap filling in this 200 y/o house - no fun having ratty with a 12 month old daughter around. air rifle on my left, laptop in the middle , ferts in a box on my right - bring it on!!! atb chris Quote Link to post

Where abouts is it? Quote Link to post
