hawkanddog 0
Try Blackpool airguns for the rifle you choose, they are good on price, service and delivery. Dont know much about the Falcon but the Air Arms s410 is a cracking bit of kit, 10 shot, R or Lhd, in carbine, have a look at one. Mines fitted with a SR12 scope, its a deadly combination. hawkanddog 0
hawkanddog where did you get that camo effect on your gun done? cheers Joe Hi, Its a gun sock, strechy thing. I cut a few bits outwere needed and did a bit sewing. The scope is a pull over neoprene, bought on ebay. Did it all for under 20 quid, the proper graphics would cost in the region of 140 ish quid + . Mine can be taken off. Quote Link to post

Hi mate,.nice photo... Not much of a 'gun man' myself,..so,.could you perhaps tell me.... What is the advantage of a Firearms rated Air Arms s410 over the bog standard 12lb per ft model.? I quite fancy the Carbine model...Recently been out with some guys who were using a Logan? and of course the Air Arms s410,.but in an uprated edition. They were using 'night sights' and killing rabbits pretty far out,.almost rim fire range! Will the standard model suit me? Many thanks... All the best,.ONLYTHECONY... Quote Link to post

hawkanddog 0
Hi Chalkwarren, The FAC rated s410 is as it says a firearm and as such has restriction where you can use it, as per your licence. I did consider one myself but after talking to my FA liason officer decided to go with the bog standard one due to the restrictions of where you can use it, on named land. Dont know if the same goes for other forces around the country the exception I believe is registered pest controllers. I will often get a call from a friend of a friend to go and clear a bit of vermin. With my standard one I can legally use it where I have permision, chuck it in the car and go. I cant say how the FAC performs but it must be bloody good as the standard is a cracking bit of kit. I know I can head shoot rabbits at 45 yds with my gun, but I call that my limit. The SR12 scope works well for me with my gun. Hope this helps, there all good guns nowadays, they beat the old things I used to use like ASI sniper and BSA meteor no problem, mind it was 30 odd years ago Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,739
Many thanks for that info mate... Yes,.I am a rabbit controller and I have an 'open licence' ... The charging cylinder is longer, to compensate for the extra air, and consequently the gun is slightly heavier to use in the field. Shot capacity was around 40 useable shots in the FAC version although I'm not sure how consistant it was to the rifles from the factory. You'll get the extra range but both the standard and FAC version are well up to the job. Quote Link to post

IN WHAT WAY IS IT IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE PLEASE TELL TELL, LIGHTER ,YOU THINK MORE ACCURATE OK IS THAT ALL ??????????? i feel more confident with the air arms at around forty to fifty yards,i tried long range shots with the falcon and could not get the grouping i wanted,to me the air arms feels a better made gun,i have been using eley wasp pellets in both guns and the air arms packs the biggest punch, both guns were on 12ft,my mates have been using the falcon range for years and get on with them, one did snap his lighthunter stock though and that proved expensive, the only thing to do is try both guns out ,dont buy the new bsa though it is simply glued together,so any small problems that your local gunshop would be able to do will not be able to strip the gun it has to go back to the bsa factory.
