Portland_Jon 0
I have a 15 week old JR x Border Collie and would like to do a bit of gundog training with her. She is a very intelligent dog and seems to have a collies brain but unfortunately she has a Jack's voice and likes the sound of it. Has anyone got any tips on how to start training? Thanks Jon Quote Link to post

Portland_Jon 0
No fear of her not enjoying being a pup, she is so brainy she runs rings around the other two dogs already. Besides which, I am definately enjoying her being a pup. Guest Hedgehunter
One of the best all round dogs I've ever seen was this cross, she'd even help round the sheep up. Quote Link to post
celt 1
Collie Terrier crosses are a favourite of mine, we had a pair of accidental breeding at my dads house (only one left). An old type farm collie mated a nice little working russel the farmer had and we somehow ended up with 2 pups about 10 years ago. They were hunted as much as our terriers, and good ratters, rabbiters but were best flushing foxes in whin bushes. The best one went missing a few months ago and we have not found him. His brother still here and a bit doddery but certainly made a good general hunting dog. Good luck with the pup Celt Quote Link to post
